Power to X Solutions

Hydrogen is the future for addressing the climate change challenges.

The Energy Transition Holy Grail: If we have to call that one aspect as a holy grail of the energy transition and that is co-located renewable energy and green hydrogen value chain. This coupling addresses following key issues:

  1. Transmission constraints in evacuating the renewable energy to the load centers
  2. Optimal utilization of renewable energy production capacity
  3. Creating a much better value proposition in terms of increased and sustained power sale revenues
  4. Enabling significant production of green hydrogen
  5. Facilitating down stream green hydrogen utilization value chain by further co-locating green ammonia and e-methanol production eliminating the biggest logistics challenge in transporting the green hydrogen

Destiny Energy is the developer and investor of green hydrogen value chain projects and is currently engaged in projects in Estonia, Malaysia, Middle East and India towards achieving this all important aspect of the energy transition.

Policy makers continue to support hydrogen in the energy transition, from the $369bn allocated in the US to climate and energy proposals, through the Inflation Reduction Act, EU approval of the Important Project of Common European Interest (IPCEI) for the hydrogen value chain and announcement of a European Hydrogen Bank.

Happy to collaborate with electrolyzer technology companies, hydrogen end users and investors who share the same vision to embark on this exciting energy transition journey.

Distributed Hydrogen Solutions

Destiny Energy (“Destiny”) proposes to develop, own and operate small distributed green Hydrogen plants to serve the process needs of industries within the 25km radius  with integrating various types of Distributed Energy Resources (DERs) under a “Hydrogen as a Service (HaaS)” business model. Essentially, Destiny and its partner(s) will own the these plants while the customer just pays for green Hydrogen via a long term contract. The benefit from this is that the customer is able to get green Hydrogen without investing in plant CAPEX themselves.

Destiny proposes to integrate technologies for Green Hydrogen on-site Production, along with the traditional DER resources like solar, wind (vertical axis wind turbines) and battery storage.

In case of Data Centres and Warehouse Forklift applications, the advancements in the Fuel Cell technology is transforming the traditional approach to further bring down the carbon emissions by replacing the diesel and the expensive batteries.

The Green Hydrogen production on-site could be backward coupled to (1) solar and wind using Water Electrolysis, which are intermittent sources in nature and (2) bio-gas using Methane Pyrolysis.

This on-site produced Green Hydrogen is used to produce a steady electricity through the Hydrogen Fuel Cells. This solution architecture eliminates the deployment of costly battery storage capex and the diesel opex.
