Advisory Board

Dr. Sanjay C Kuttan is the founder of Kai Gaia International Advisory, a consultancy specialising in maritime and energy strategy.

Previously, he was Chief Strategy Officer at the Global Centre for Maritime Decarbonisation (GCMD), where he worked closely with the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Projects Officer to develop the centre’s long-term vision and direction.

Before joining GCMD, he served as Executive Director of the Singapore Maritime Institute, which is responsible for funding maritime research projects and building local capabilities in the maritime sector, an appointment after 2 years as a Programme Director at the Energy Research Institute at the Nanyang Technological University. This followed 5 years with DNV as Managing Director of the Clean Technology Centre.

Sanjay also worked at the Energy Market Authority (EMA), as Director of Industry Development and was in charge of key clean technology projects. He also has rich management experience in the private sector.
